Hibiscus Extract:

Hibiscus is a strikingly beautiful flower, celebrated for its vibrant colours and
found in many varieties across the globe. While it grows in diverse climates, it is
commonly native to the Pacific Islands, Asia, and Africa. For this extract, we use
a deep pink hibiscus sourced from Nigeria—a variety renowned for its rich
f
lavour and potent properties.
In Nigeria, hibiscus is an integral part of both cuisine and culture. Its dried
calyxes are used to make Zobo, a refreshing ruby-red drink. The flower also
lends its tangy-sweet notes to jams, jellies, and various dishes. Beyond its
culinary appeal, hibiscus has a long history in traditional medicine, where it has
been valued for its restorative and health-promoting properties.

Hibiscus has so many benefits; these can include lowering blood pressure,
cholesterol management, weight management, promoting liver health,
antibacterial properties, antioxidant properties, anti-inflammatory properties,
and the potential to reduce the growth of cancerous cells.

This extract has a deep red-black colour; it has a citrus, almost raspberry taste,
alongside a sour citrus scent. It can be taken orally, either like a pill, dissolved
into hot water to make a tea, or incorporated into a meal.
